The colorful facades of Granada, Nicaragua

If you travel to Nicaragua, you cannot miss the city of Granada. I visited it this summer and I was fascinated, every corner has been a source of inspiration!

Granada is certainly the most beautiful city in Nicaragua, known for its colonial buildings (such as the beautiful Hotel La Gran Francia), for its churches but especially for the bright colors that alternate on the facades of the houses.

Pink, Blue, Green, Yellow … Granada is a wonderful rainbow of vivid colors that will astonish any traveler and make it impossible to stop taking pictures (have a look at my instagram profile!).

Start from the heart of the city, the colorful and lively Parque Central with the Cathedral of Granada and its characteristic yellow color, and then get lost in the side streets to admire the colors of the houses facades.

Don’t forget to slip into bars and hotels to discover the beautiful colonial buildings and courtyards. Among them, make sure to visit the magnificent Hotel La Gran Francia. Then take a break for a coffee or a fresh juice at the Garden Café, a beautiful colonial house with a very relaxing courtyard (there is also a very cute shop where you can buy local handicraft and souvenirs) and finish the day at one of Calle La Calzada‘s many restaurants.

I leave you with some photos taken during my two days in Granada. Let yourself be inspired by these beautiful colors!
