The Halos’ lamp inspired by the Aurora Borealis

I love lamps, I think they are some of the most beautiful pieces of design that really show the combination of good design, technologies and functionality.

So when I was asked by Halos to try out of one their lamps, I was really happy and curious.

Halos is a new company based in UK that creates high quality modern lamps by combining style and technologies. The lamp I chose is the Alexis Floor Lamp, an award winning floor lamp designed by Fiorenzo Trentini.

I chose this lamp because I love its minimal and sleek style: the lamp is reduces to its essential elements with no fuss or decoration, it can be very discreet if inserted in a room but, at the same time, it can create a beautiful, colorful and ambience light.

The main feature of this lamp is that it is a dimmable light and you can easily choose among a million colors by simply moving your finger around the color wheel of the remote controller. You can also opt for a steady light or light effects, you can increase or decrease the brightness and speed and also add more colors using the interface below the color wheel. So basically, you can create the perfect light for every mood or occasion.

The colors of the lamp are inspired by the Aurora Borealis. When Italian Designer Fiorenzo Trentini met the Aurora Borealis Northern Lights in Swedish Lapland, he fell in love with it. Fiorenzo spent two weeks camping outdoors to capture the entire Aurora Borealis inside an award-winning designer floor lamp.

The lamp is designed to create ambience and mood across the room. It is the perfect lamp to create different atmosphere at home, to add colors through light and the perfect accessories to surprise your guests at a party!

Here it is how I styled it in my home!

In my little office corner I tried a yellow light for the day, and yellow or blue at night.

For the bedroom, I try a pink and a purple/blue. Which one do you prefer?
